As 2018 comes to a close, we are reflecting on the past year and the great
books we have published on Mississippi. We are thankful for our excellent authors
and proud to have published books that interpret the South and its culture to
the nation and the world.
In 2018, UPM published 145 books; 35 books about Mississippi; and 27 books from Mississippi authors. As the only not-for-profit publisher in the state of Mississippi, we are committed to publishing important works on the history and culture of our state and in the areas of African American studies, art and photography, Caribbean studies, comics studies, film studies, folklore, history, literary studies, media studies, music studies, and popular culture.
