Praise for Accordion Dreams

Susan Larson, book editor at the New Orleans Times-Picayune has a nice review of Blair Kilpatrick's Accordion Dreams. The book is a transformative account of an outsider's obsession with a signature sound of Louisiana.

Kilpatrick gradually moves from listener to accordion player, to performer. Finding her singing voice, she finds her writing one as well. "Accordion Dreams" is for anyone who has ever fallen under the spell of a place and people, experienced the thrill of obsession.

For readers in the New Orleans area, Kilpatrick will be signing copies of her book and playing her accordion at Octavia Books on Monday, April 13 from 6 to 8 p.m.

She will also be taking her show to Barnes and Noble in Lafayette on Thursday, April 16 from 6 to 8 p.m.
