John Hailman was wine columnist for the Washington Post and was nationally syndicated for over a decade by Gannett News Service. He has served as judge and panel chairman at numerous international wine competitions for over twenty years. He now divides his time between homes in Oxford, Mississippi, and Merignac in the Charente region of southwest France.
